Traci Hudson, designer of My House Boutique, is a crafty kind of mama that is inspired by everyday life. Her Play with Your Food Plates are hand-sized for pint-sized chefs to encourage imaginative play and healthy eating habits. When she's not chasing her vivacious two-year-old, you can find her in her sewing room.

Candy Wilson, Candy Argyle Designs
While visiting my parents in Wyoming, I decided to design and sew a new diaper bag for myself. I came home from the trip and showed my husband the bag, to which he replied, “You know how to sew?” He has no question now!
I began sewing when I was seven, which I had somehow failed to mention in the previous six years we had been married. Sewing has taken up a large portion of my “free time” since that trip.
I design all my items and I am drawn to bold colors and patterns. I want my customers to stand out in the crowd and get a compliment, or twenty. I pay great attention to detail, quality, function, and uniqueness. I hope you enjoy my creations!
Candy currently resides in Northern Nevada with her husband and 3 children under age 5.

Sweet As You Please, a mother and daughter owned company, began creating hand-poured, all-natural soy candles in 2001. Our desire for another option other than the typical paraffin candle (with their standard colors and fragrances), was the inspiration for our business. With our own unique soy wax blend and all-cotton wicks, our candles are healthy to burn for you as well as the environment. And with our customized line, a candle may be created just for you. Whether you’re looking for a gift to give or a special treat to keep, Sweet As You Please, a boutique of scents for the home, body, and soul, has a little something for everyone.

Callie Micks, Creative Director, Callie Micks LLC
I jumped off of the corporate bandwagon recently to
start my own business. I visualized myself creating
new products that are currently not on the market.
New products that would make life a whole lot easier
and prettier. I kept obsessing and having dreams
about creating a unique apron line. So, I finally did
it!
I take current fashion trends in silhouette and color
and translate them into cute, modern aprons for the
home.
At Callie Micks, we support our local community by
making our aprons right here in Downtown Los Angeles
using local fabric, thus creating jobs and reducing
emissions. The fabric we use is what we call “rescue”
fabric- it is high quality, overstock, existing fabric
that needs a home. Fabric recycling, so to speak.

Though a chemical engineer by trade, when I became a mom I knew that staying home with my daughter was more important to me than engineering. Since I know how to sew, I decided to make a few pairs of baby legwarmers for my toddler daughter and her little friends. Not only did I become completely addicted to making them, but I realized that this had the potential to become a profitable business! Overnight, Monkey Legs was born and several hundred happy customers later I am more busy than ever! Monkey Legs are now featured in several baby and maternity boutiques in various countries and have been shipped all around the world. Have I forgotten about that engineering education? Definitely not - without it I wouldn't have the 'product development' (see, you can't take the engineer out of me!), business and marketing skills I use to run and grow Monkey Legs. I have, however, decided that this indie and handmade world is where I want to be.
